Appointment and Office Policies

To ensure your dental experience at Scenic Acres Dental Centre meets your standards, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our appointment and office policies. If you have any questions about our office policies and procedures, we invite you to contact us.

Due to the Canadian Personal Privacy Act (see our privacy policy), we are unable to access any specific information from your dental insurance company regarding your dental plan. It is your responsibility to understand your dental coverage, such as annual maximums, frequencies, renewal dates, and any other limitations. We also extend the option of direct billing (also called assignment). However, your insurance company must accept this service.

Please understand that it is your responsibility to keep track of your upcoming dental appointment. When you are due for appointments, you will receive a reminder in advance. If you have already booked an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email/text two weeks in advance and a reminder both two days and two hours prior to your appointment. Although we will make every effort to contact you before any appointment, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that you will be at your appointment unless other arrangements have been made in advance with our office.

We do encounter times when patients require urgent or emergency dental treatment. These emergency patients require an appointment as soon as possible. When our patients give us advance notice to rebook a scheduled appointment, we can use this time for patients in need of urgent treatment.
